Subreddit post channels
Returns the post channels or categories a subreddit offers. Useful for understanding how a community organises its posts.
What you get
- Channel or category names
- Channel IDs
- Channel order as shown in the subreddit
- Posts listed under the channels where returned
- Data as Reddit returns it, or a cleaned version when need_format is true
What it can do
- Look up a subreddit's post channels by name
- Sort by hot, new, top, controversial or rising
- Limit to the past hour, day, week, month, year or all time
Limits
- Each call returns one page; this source has no paging input, so one call covers the whole request
- Only publicly visible data
- Subreddits without channels return an empty list
